my tutor is a universal indicator. At the point where he just gets angry, his forehead changes colour from yellow to red. Add more acid and he gets redder and blacker..

starting work tmr...feeling happy and tired. Working at the same place i went 2 years back and i suddenly remembered my first few entries were written while i was at that company. So i decided to look back at what i wrote that time....hmmm....everything were complaints, i complained abt everyone and anything abt that place. But right now, im feeling quite excited and positive abt working there again and MAY i have a pleasant time at work tmr :)

Went to watch Protege today...it isnt even RA or anything but i do not know why am i so badly shaken by the show. Now i keep imagining that someday someone might inject me with heroin of stronger drugs and i die a terrible death...grrr...overall the show isnt nice.

today, at 2pm, only 3 ppl turned up for studio and i went first again....my tutor is quite happy with my design so far which makes me insecured coz whenever it starts off ok and i start feeling happy about my design, suddenly, during the dunno what week, something will go wrong and ill find it very difficult to make any changes.

Anyway it felt wierd that people in studio are taking turns to not turn up for studio. Dun they feel that they are wasting money? This sem, i tend not to skip the archi con lec or any studio session coz i suddenly feel that sch fees is very ex considering that there are only 2 archi modules, need to make my money worth...but that doesnt mean i want more modules either...heh

yay! next week is chi new year...but i wun get to see my cousin :(...havent seen her for soooooo long, and the last time she was back, i didnt get to see her coz of submissions and stuff.

oh and i made a discovery. Chanced upon this album by a new singer called Vincy Chan and i have since been addicted to her songs. Turned out that she was one of the contestants from the Channel U Superstar, Chan Jiaxin. I remembered the judges saying that she was too thin and that she looked bad on screen. So angry with that judge. Anyway im so happy for her now, she went Hongkong to take part in another singing competition after she was kicked out of superstar. And now she has already 3 albums and a concert under her new name! Hope she continues to do well...

i am very intrigued by hormones, didnt really study my bio well last time. Hormones are very amazing chemicals....are they chemicals? i dun really know...haha. So when a woman reaches menopause, she produces less and less of a certain hormone, so whatever changes to her is due to hormones...and so when she loses her temper easily or forgets what she has just said a few seconds before, its actually not in her character that she is like that but coz of the lack of a certain hormone...ok typing crap...

school is starting soon and i havent been doin much this hols. Didnt work at all...feels nice :) have been very happy this past month and i hope this happy drug will work on me for a long long long time...k thats all for now

I am so glad i managed to survive the past week, monday was studio and

after studio i stayed in sch all the way till wed...a total of 52hrs, i

hope never to be able to beat this record. And then i went home on wed

and went to sleep at 8pm, wanting to wake up later that night to do my

construction details as i had consultation with the construction

engineer on thursday. Naturally, i couldnt wake up and only awoke at

8am the next day, i jumped out of bed when i saw that it was already

morning and went straight to gettin my construction details done for

consultation at 2pm. I had no time to refer to references so i came up

with my own construction details which later became a disaster. I was

laughed by the engineer for placing concrete slabs on timber joists and

securing glass on my facade with just sealant. I have gotta do much

more this weekend which is already ending soon to show seihwa that im

not lazy and i can actually do stuff instead of just always using words

to say...

After studio that day, i declared a break till now. I went for the

Kings of Convenience concert!!!! It is the best concert i have ever

gone for. Everything about it was perfect. It felt like a cirque du

solei performance though i have never watched any....very surreal and

magical. The two of them were amusing and their guitar skills are

superb. Guitars and piano never felt and sounded so good. I wish they

would come to singapore soon and im definitely goin for their concert

again. They sang homesick in total darkness, and the effect was

amazing, its like suddenly everything feels so right and wonderful. I

absolutely love them! Im so glad theres them in this world for me to

listen to....ok i think im getting too obsessed. After the concert i

managed to get their autograph after much hassle, such as begging

random ppl for ticket stubs coz i carelessly lost mine.

They are absolutely the coolest ppl on this planet

so cute!!! Erlend drew me such a cute elephant :)this

one is by erick, he teaches psychology to architecture students in

norway! and he aspires to make norway an environmentally friendly city.

Im so goin to study the sustainability module next sem very hard so

that i can join him....haha
ha! met fiona xie who was as crazy as me over the Kings...i like her hair...
and i got to eat the chicken (or rather the ginger) i have been craving for. yummy yummy! i can wait no longer......

And today, i went for a spa! first time goin to a spa. The water was

boiling hot and we managed to slowly, (really very slowly...) immerse

ourselves into the tub. After a while, my body got used to the temp of

the water and then it felt really good, it got rid of all the shit i

accumulated over the past week of rushing for submissions. Oh yah, I

really like it that the bathrobe and towels and slippers were placed

into the locker they provided you with :)

I shall now get back to my archi life, a life i chose and one i have to get accustomed to...

fren's bdae party, It was not bad, just that it would have been perfect

if she had brought normal drinking water. Tina and I bought her a Tiara

Time is passing

so quickly. It is Sunday now which means tmr is monday which means

theres studio on monday which means I have to do studio work when i

wake up. Then its monday and then there would be studio on thursday and

then on monday again and then on thursday and whatever...argh.

I dun want to go to school.

I dun want to be 21.

I dun want to see pimples on my face tmr.

Yup, i should not be whinning....

Ok let me say

abit about my sittin buddy in school now. sounds like im in primary

school but nvm :). Im sitting beside Derek this sem. We are no longer

doin manual drawings this sem so we are forever glued to our seats

facing our computers. Hmmm....I realised i have nothing to say abt him.

Oh, he says Im like an auntie which makes me so sad...poor me. But

thanks for accompanying me to the student lounge the other day. I would

have banged and collided into walls and boards if u didnt save

me...yup, so its nice having a good fren sitting beside you in a war

torn place with sufferings....ok i think im getting sleepy...let me end

Im so excited abt my muay thai classes starting today! yay...i have finally joined something in NUS.
Sch has started and I do not like sch at all. Time passes so quickly and I feel I dun do anything satisfying each day, feels like im wasting my life away.
I wish i could be a model for Victoria Secrets in my next life.

A day after boxing day....decided to update here a little bit...

I feel super unhealthy now, just ate two packets of instant noodles. By

the way, for those who have not yet been blessed with the best instant

noodles on earth, myojo tom yum noodles are the best! And the way to

cook it is to cook the noodles in water then drain away every single

bit of the water till the noodles are dry then quickly pour in the

powder and the chilli and mix....leave it to cool for a few seconds and

then.....u will be intoxicated by it....alright.

I have this craze for local bands these

days....the recent local bands are really not bad. Anyway there was this

concert at the Art Museum the other day so decided to go. Here are some of the

pics...shall give some comments to each performer...

The setting is so nice, simple and enchanting...

The first performer was Amanda Tee, shes a 16 yr

old girl who plays the guitar the other way, like usually ppl play with right

hand, she plays with her left hand...honestly, i dun think her voice or her

songs are nice, very normal only...

ok, to the next performer, the next

group was rushed, some new group. Though there is a malay guy in the

group, but the band gives me a very hokkien feel somehow. The lead

singer's voice is not bad though...songs also quite nice.

Next was leslie low, from observatory...i have concluded that its

better to listen to the observatory from their cds, cannot watch them

live, no entertainment value....and also observatory songs are not very

original after all...Ronin was next, coz this concert was an accoustic

one, i was looking forward to this performance, wondering what kind of

music ronin would play. They played quite a few slow numbers

but nevertheless ended with a loud noisy one, I was coughing badly that

day so didnt stand up, felt kinda bad not standing up.

Lastly was a group called Typewriter, which included two members from Electrico. Their performance was the one i enjoyed most of all. It was entertaining and their

music was good. Their album coming out very soon...shall look out for

it....Anywayz the concert was alright overall, very worth my money.

Hope there would be more of this kind of shows...

me, with tina and kaijie....we are in this together so no one should

feel in any way bad for anything that happens. I really love the both

met up with someone i havent seen for ages today. The first thing she

said when she saw me was...WHy u become so thin?? ur arms are like

sticks!! haiz...i dun mind being thin and i have been convincing myself

that there is nothing wrong with being thin but why do ppl give that

kind of expression when they say that im thin? its as though im sick or

something...anyway i should just not care and remain my happy

self...there are millions of ppl dying to be thin. Argh..im bothered by

this issue again. THIS SHALL BE THE LAST TIME IM BOTHERED so im writing

it in my blog...

I went for this thing organised by lime mag over the weekend to see

this local band - The Observatory. The songs i heard from their cd were

good, i like their style of music, and since i missed their concert in

NUSCC the other time coz i went for mok wei wei talk instead, i decided

to catch this performance. Sadly, their performance was a

disappointment due to the poor speakers, the speakers were really bad,

made the sounds they produced sound distorted. And the songs they

performed were from the new cd which i havent heard...luckily there was

Electrico and Ronin who saved the day. I really like the voice of the

lead singer of Electrico and i am now a fan of Ronin. I really like the

song, Crazy Son by them...sounds so school dayish....just the kind of

feeling i hope to keep forever...

was bored the other day so decided to make stuff. Ended up making

shoes...here are the shoes we made!! not bad eh...for first attempt.

Just watched the play Twist of Fate. Was initially quite worried that the seats we got were bad....turned out not too bad after all, could still see clearly with my bad eyesight without the aid of glasses. Anyway, it was quite good, very funny, so tired from laughing now...and the set was beautiful, they even made the rafters of the roof, and amazingly i didnt notice them till the second half of the play. And i like Adrian Pang now, used to detest him. Emma Yong's role as Alice was so ditzy but i totally enjoyed it...Laura Michelle Kelly's voice is so nice, so funny that i thought her name was Lawrence Oliver. I remembered very clearly seeing this lawrence oliver name somewhere only to realise later that its the name of the award she received.

hmmm....back to my table in this cold lonely night....haiz....have to go back to AR readings. so sick of stuff on sustainability, ecologically friendly stuff....i believe our entire cohort has killed so many trees from all the readings we have, learning on sustainability when we are killin our environment by our large wastage on paper.

I have this recent fetish for drinking tea at night. It suddenly feels so right to make a pot of tea each night to accompany me with my revisions. Somehow, my mum has lots of different kinds of tea so every night im trying a new tea. I tried earl grey tea first, it was not very appealing initially but towards the end, i grew to like it and it kept me awake till 6am that night, then next was a normal english tea and now im drinking moroccan mint tea. It smells great and its minty so i am feeling refreshed right now! which means i should embark on my readings....

ooh my fren introduced me to this kinda cool website, www.pandora.com. U type in the title of a song u like and they would create a playlist for ya! ill be on this for a long time now...

Yeah! Submission is finally over...have been looking forward to this day since the sem started. My life seems to be coming back to me finally.....or rather life has stopped... Hmmm, if archi was what im goin to be doin for the rest of my life then archi would be my life and then times like this would be a break from my life rather than the other way round. ok i dunno what am i saying...havent got all my organs functioning well still. Anywayz, i just went to the linc website and found out that my library fines add up to 15 DOLLARS!! i must make sure i make my way down to sch to return the books today. Arggh.. the books were hidden under my pile of bristol and foam. feel so stupid... I am goin to collect my matric card later so i can finally enter my dds but there isnt anymore studio...haiz
I was just thinking of goin for high tea in the afternoon when i was lying in bed refusing to move this morning...but now i realise theres so much stuff to do.
1. go to engine to collect my matric card
2. print all the sci of music notes
3. return library books and pay fines
4. go for lecture at 6pm
5. study for test tmr
ok....they sound quite little and effortless. Maybe im weak but right now i feel that i cant accomplish all these...gotta face reality and stop living in my own illusion

I am feeling very happy today after a long time. Just had a nice fat stingray for my dinner and my mummy bought me my favourite tiramisu from my favourite cake shop! will eat it when i watch my korean drama later....ooh how nice....

anyway i met up with christina finally to do lunch. Had a nice long lunch in engine canteen...i wish everyday could be like that. And then later i bumped into many friends at various places. Soooo happy to see them....dunno whats with today, suddenly met all of them in a single day and amazingly, all of them had like similar news for me....that they just got attached, and that their partners were ppl i knew too... some of the combinations quite odd but nevertheless, so happy for them....haiz...blame archi, take up all my time, dunno whats goin on with the lives of ppl around me:(
Rachel, dun be so stressed over ur work k? dun push urself so hard lah...so sad...u leaving for seattle liao...anywayz, hope u are very very happy with nianrong now! quite shocked leh when u told me just now...

:( I dunno why is my shin so painful. It has been painful for the past two days. Its like in the morning its ok then it gets more painful and especially at night, it get excruciatingly painful....argh, i think that Miss Poon destroyed my leg. I injured it really badly in JC then she did stuff to my leg and then made me apply strange stuff on it, ever since then, my right leg has always been giving me problems, its like sometimes i feel that my right leg doesnt belong to me, that kinda feeling....i hope the pain would go away soon...

I must go study for my test tmr liao...

losing hope...feeling tired...missing people...

studio ended very late today again. They should not have our studio and David Thomas's studio in the same dds. Both tutors do not look at their watches. Its like both our studios are isolated in the dds and we keep ending our studio sessions very late. I didnt even realise that it was so late when we ended studio coz david thomas's group was still having studio but when i came out, there was absolutely no one at the open studio, kinda depressing, no one besides my studio ppl to talk to. Im too tired after studio to call anyone...

Anyway, the biomorph i chose and presented today got rejected....sorta rejected....nope, blatantly rejected...haiz.. Robert said that he just givin me a warning that he feels it would be quite hard to develop a concept from sponges as sponges are too simple, they are not complicated organisms....then he say, then again, im not discouraging u, it could be something which will cause u much misery later....or it could turn out to be very brilliant. Okay at this point, im abit lost, confused, tired...then later kc presented his which was sea grass. He told kc that he should think of another biomorph instead, slam him abit and later added this....but at least ur biomorph is one step ahead of that one (laser pointing to my panel) argh....fine so i should change mine. Im quite sick of doin such repetitive stuff, like during p1, the painting i chose, robert said it was not suitable, then for p2, my precedents, i had to redo for certain stupid reasons and i have not found the time to redo and now, redo and rethink my biomorph.
I have just decided to do the mangrove, sonneratia....though its goin to be nearly identical to KCs...at least i know this is a safe choice. I guess when we develop further into concepts, perhaps we would have different ideas though it came from similar biomorphs....

Feel that im becoming worse and worse...like i cant be bothered with ppl, like i dun care what i say to them. Like when melvin and daniel were arguing abt something this afternoon(dunno what they were arguin abt) by right a normal fren should like try to help make peace...but all i did was say softly but audibly...both of u just shut up...i must be a nicer person....and i must try to sound more friendly to ppl on msn.

This is such a depressing song but ive been listening to it quite often these days coz the tune is nice...the korean drama, stairway to heaven, the drama that is sustaining my life now is getting very depressing, and its affecting me...die, i shouldnt watch it anymore but im stuck...

yay! i finally know how to put photos on my blog...anyway suppose to do

BU now but getting sianz of if so decided to do this....went for this

concert by saxophonist, Joshua Redman. The concert was good,

coordination was splendid... and the band he brought along was good

too. I was amazed that the keyboardist was the one who played the

keyboard in Norah Jone's Come Away with me cd and the drummer played

for Ray Charles....I am looking forward to the concert next week by

Dawn Ho and ....(cant remember the name of the other singer) I hope it

would be good too....

and we were hungry after the show. She did not bring much either so

after counting every single penny she could find in her bag, we had

$6.70. Shared this 6 dollars hokkien mee s we had 70cents left.....then

while we were eating, this old came to ask us to buy his tissue, 3

packs for a dollar. We refused as we had only 7-cents, not enough to

buy....then abt 15mins later he came again, saying a dollar is not much

for us to share...we refused and he was still persistent so we told him

70cents was all we had. He accepted the 70cents and gave us three

packs. so we had not a single cent left....

Just got back from Jelita. That place really looks damn good now, everything in cold storage looks so fresh....bought mushrooms, tomatoes, butter, sausages, oil, juices....i dunno i buy all these for what but the packaging is so nice i just had to buy them. AND...theres cedele and o'briens and times bookshop now..so cool! I decided to go there and have a look today since theres nothing interesting or exciting happening in my life today. Btw....Jelita is a place i really love, spent much of my growing up years at that place. i remember taking my first worm there...

When i was in pri sch, i used to think that jelita was such a useless place, there was only a cold storage, delifrance, 7 eleven and some laundry shops...despite this, i still entered jelita at least once every single day...oooh, but i loved the macdonalds that was there at that time. Today, SPC has taken over that macdonalds. It was the only macdonalds in Singapore which had a talking dustbin. After u cleared ur trays, the dustbin would say in a cutsey voice...thank you for using me! I absolutely loved the bin.

Then during jc, jelita was the nearest air conditioned place to go to besides ghim moh macs....so went there quite a bit...k dun really want to remember and record down that period of my life.

Anyway im so happy theres cedele and o'briens at jelita now...The place has improved so much over the years...and somehow i just feel so happy seeing these changes. Although the place looks very different now, but at least its not like marina square, where i totally cannot relate the space now to how it was like in the past. The escalator at jelita is still at its old position so i can still figure out and picture out what the place was like before.
